Posted on Wednesday, September 4th, 2019 at 7:47 am

A man was pronounced dead after a fatal motorcycle collision on Metric Boulevard, early Sunday morning.

At around 5:30 a.m., local law enforcement officials responded to the 9200 block of Metric Boulevard after receiving a call reporting a collision. When Austin-Travis County EMS arrived at the scene, they found a male victim lying on the ground, lifeless. He was only identified as a man in his 40s.

The wreckage prompted road closures in the area to accommodate a police investigation and road cleanup. Further details surrounding the incident are very limited at this time but it was confirmed that a motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in the accident.

The Austin Police Department was also requested at the scene to investigate further. No other information is available.
