Austin – Pedestrian Collision on Interstate 35

The Austin Police Department is investigating an auto versus pedestrian crash on Interstate 35 last Tuesday.
In the early morning hours of July 23rd, Austin-Travis County EMS and police officers were requested to assist in an accident involving a pedestrian walking a dog. According to the release, a man was with his dog on Interstate 35 near Riverside Drive when he was struck by a number of vehicles traveling on the roadway.
The impact of the collision left the victim with life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Meanwhile, the drivers of the vehicles involved stopped and remained at the scene. They are cooperating with local authorities.
