Campbell – Auto Crash on SH 24 Leaves 1 Dead

A man was killed in a deadly vehicle accident on State Highway 24, Tuesday evening.

At around 7:00 p.m., local responders arrived on SH 24 to assist in a vehicular accident involving a pickup truck and a car. Police said a Mazda had been traveling along the southbound lanes when it crashed into a Dodge 2500 pickup truck that was heading north. The force of the impact left the driver of the Mazda with significant injuries. He died at the scene.

Two people were sent to a hospital where they were treated for undisclosed injuries. Officers said one of the victims was an occupant in the Mazda while the other was the operator of the pickup truck.

The Campbell Police Department arrived at the scene to determine the cause of the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
