Dallas – Boy Struck and Killed by a Vehicle on Westmoreland Road

A tragic collision between a pedestrian and a car caused the death of a 10-year-old boy on Westmoreland Road in the Red Bird area of Dallas last Friday night.

According to the police, the fatal accident took place on Westmoreland Road near Gannon Lane. A boy was playing outside with his other siblings when he reportedly ran into the street to go to the nearby store. While doing so, he was struck by a vehicle that was passing the busy road. The force of the impact seriously injured the boy. He was taken to Children’s Medical Center, where he later died.

Police have yet to release the identification of the boy.

Investigators said that two cars remained on scene and called 911 for assistance. They have not said if any criminal charges have been filed against any of the drivers.
