Dallas – Man in a Wheelchair Struck by Car on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd

The Dallas Police Department named the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, Sunday evening.

At around 6:00 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Martin Luther King in response to a notification reporting an accident. According to the report, a man who was sitting in a wheelchair struck by a passing vehicle. The impact of the crash seriously injured the pedestrian, who was later identified as 58-year-old Walter Moore, and was rushed to Baylor Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Police have yet to determine how the incident took place.

No words on the condition of the driver who hit Moore.

The investigation is underway.
