Dallas – Officer Injured on West Griffin St

Local enforcement officials are conducting an investigation about a two-car accident on West Griffin Street in Downtown Dallas, Monday.

According to police reports, DPS troopers responded to the 1400 block of West Griffin Street to assist in a crash. An initial investigation indicates that a pickup truck was traveling along the roadway when, for yet unknown reasons, it crashed into a Southern Methodist University police cruiser. No further details are available.

The impact of the accident left the officer with injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was listed in an unknown condition. The extent of his injuries remains unknown.

The Dallas Police Department was requested at the scene to determine liability. No charges have been filed as the investigation is still in progress.
