Law enforcement officials have released the name of the victim who died in a fatal car collision on Interstate 30, Wednesday night.

The fatality was identified as Bradley A. McManus, 41, of Greenville.

According to police reports, the incident took place along I-30 near Farm to Market Road 1565. A vehicle encountered a mechanical problem in the left lane which caused the traffic to slow down. The driver of the Nissan Murano, who probably failed to negotiate his speed upon approaching the slow moving traffic, rear-ended a Hyundai Elantra. The force of the impact ejected its driver through the sunroof. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Hunt Regional hospital in Greenville for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries a few moments after.

No other injuries were reported, as per reports.

Area investigators are continuing to determine liability.
