Hewitt – Fiery Collision on Interstate 35 Kills 1

A vehicle ended up in flames after getting involved in a vehicle accident on Interstate 35 last Tuesday morning.
Police said the accident happened just after 4:00 a.m. on the southbound lanes of I-35, under the Sun Valley Boulevard Bridge. Based on a preliminary investigation, a Freightliner went out of control, drifted off the roadway, and landed upside down. The vehicle was engulfed in flames as a result of the crash. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found the driver lifeless. He was pronounced deceased at the scene just after 6:00 a.m. His name has not been released.
No one else was injured, as per authorities.
The Department of Public Safety has yet to release more information about the cause of the accident. Anyone who has seen the incident can get in contact with the investigators.
