Kaufman – Victim of Multi-Vehicle Accident on FM 987 ID’d

Jesus Daniel Espinoza was pronounced deceased after a fatal car accident on Farm to Market Road 987 in Kaufman.

According to the Kaufman Police Department, a car had been traveling along the highway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crossed the center line and crashed head-on with a sport utility vehicle. The SUV suffered from major damage and was then struck by another vehicle. The impact of the crash ejected Jesus Espinoza who was a passenger in the SUV. He was declared deceased by local paramedics.

Police said a total of eight people sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. Two of the injured victims were reportedly children. None of them was identified at this time.

The crash remains under investigation.
