Lubbock – Pedestrian Struck by Car on Quaker Avenue ID’d

The Lubbock Police Department has released the name of the victim who died in a fatal pedestrian crash on Quaker Avenue last Thursday morning.

The fatality was identified as 30-year-old Timothy Smith.

According to police reports, the incident took place at the 4500 block of Quaker Avenue. A pedestrian, Timothy Smith, was reportedly walking along the roadway when he was struck by a passing pickup truck. The impact of the collision left him with fatal injuries. Smith was immediately taken to University Medical Center where he received medical treatment. Unfortunately, he was pronounced deceased shortly after.

The driver of the truck did not sustain injuries. It was not confirmed if he will be facing charges.

Lubbock Police Department’s Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit continues to investigate this scene.
