Lufkin – Major Crash on US 59

Posted on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at 3:31 am

The Lufkin Police Department is conducting an investigation about a vehicle accident on US Highway 59 last Wednesday.

At around 2:00 p.m., local officials responded to US Highway 59 to assist in a vehicle crash involving three cars. Initial investigation shows that a white Chevrolet Tahoe had been traveling along the highway when it crashed into a sedan. The impact of the crash pushed the sedan to another car passing near the intersection.

When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found three people suffering from various injuries. They were taken to a local hospital where they received proper medical treatment. No identification has been released at this time.

Area investigators were called onto the scene to determine the factors that contributed to the scene.
