Mabank – Jeremy Case, Everett Rains Died in FM 990 Accident

Mabank law enforcement officials have identified the victims who were killed in a fatal auto collision on Farm to Market Road 990 last Tuesday.

Just before 1:00 p.m., DPS troopers were requested to assist in a motor vehicle crash on FM 90 near County Road 4007 near Mabank. Initial reports show that an undescribed vehicle had been traveling along the roadway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a passing pickup truck. The driver of the first vehicle, who was later identified as 20-year-old Jeremy Lee Case, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. Case’s passenger, identified as 18-year-old Everett Rains, also died on scene.

No one else was injured.

Authorities did not provide information about the driver of the pickup truck.
