Martin County – Man Who Died in Fatal Collision on SH 176 ID’d

Martin County local officials have released the name of the man who died in a fatal car accident on State Highway 176 last Thursday.

The fatality was identified as Enrique Guerrero. He was a 44-year-old man from New Mexico.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred at around 4:35 p.m. on SH 176, north of Stanton. A semi-truck had been traveling along the highway when its front tire blew out, causing the vehicle to go out of control. The truck then crashed into a GMC pickup truck before it came to rest.

The impact of the crash killed the driver of the pickup truck who was identified as Enrique Guerrero. Meanwhile, the semi-truck driver, identified as Juan Segovia, sustained non-incapacitating injuries. He was rushed to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The investigation continues.
