Oak Cliff – Tuesday Collision on Loop 12 Leaves 1 Dead

The Dallas Police Department is conducting an investigation about a vehicle crash on Loop 12 near Veterans Drive in east Oak Cliff.

Just after 9:00 p.m., DPS troopers were requested to assist in a vehicular accident at the 2400 block of East Ledbetter Drive. A Chevrolet Tahoe was attempting to make a left turn towards Veterans Dr when a westbound Ford Crown Victoria struck it. The impact of the collision injured both the driver and a passenger in the Ford. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they received treatment for their injuries. Their condition was not immediately released.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 66-year-old Edward Williams, was also taken to the hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Area investigators arrived at the scene to determine liability.

The case remains under investigation.
