The Odessa Police Department is conducting an investigation about a motorcycle collision on 42nd Street, Monday evening.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. on 42nd Street near Andrews Highway. A red and blue Honda motorcycle had been traveling along the westbound lane of 42nd when it crashed into a black Dodge Charger. Police said the Dodge was exiting a parking lot in a nearby museum when the motorcycle struck its side. The motorcyclist was seriously injured and taken to Medical Center Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he died a few moments later.
