San Antonio – Bicyclist Died in Fatal Crash at North Side Intersection

The San Antonio Police Department is investigating a bicycle accident on Blanco Road, Wednesday evening.

According to initial reports, the incident took place at around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Blanco Road and Dresden Drive. A man was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk towards Dresdan when he was hit by a pickup truck that was traveling along the northbound lane of the roadway. The impact of the crash knocked the bicyclist down, leaving him seriously injured. Police said the victim was pinned against a utility pole. He died at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the medical examiner’s office.

No identification has been released at this time.

The driver who struck the victim was not intoxicated, but was cited for not having a driver’s license, the report said.
