San Marcos – 1 Killed, 1 Injured on Interstate 35 Crash

A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 35 near CM Allen Parkway resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another, Thursday.

Police said the incident took place just before 3:00 a.m. along I-35. An undescribed vehicle had been traveling along the highway at a slow rate when it was hit by a dump truck. The impact of the crash killed the driver of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, the driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries. He was later identified as 20-year-old Isaac Fettig.

No one else was injured.

It was not clear if Fettig will be facing any charges as a result of the accident. The San Marcos Police Department is still investigating the case.
