Ward County – 35-year-old El Paso Man ID’d after Fatal Vehicle-Train Crash on CR 135

According to Ward County local officials, a 35-year-old El Paso man died after getting into an accident with a train on County Road 135.

The fatality was identified as 35-year-old Keegan Henderson of El Paso.

At around 6:05 p.m., local troopers responded to a crash that took place on CR 135. How the incident happened is yet to be confirmed by authorities but it was determined that a vehicle failed to yield to the right of way, prompting a collision. Keegan Henderson, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident. He was pronounced dead by responding officers who arrived at the scene.

No citations have been issued as the investigation is still in progress. Any witness who has information about the case is encouraged to contact the police.
